We use NetSuite ERP for our worldwide operations and companies. We use OneWorld NetSuite ERP and we are very happy with it. NetSuite ERP delivers unification all a cross the globe for our companies. The financial reporting in NetSuite ERP is outstanding and running reports is beneficial for the management. In addition, we synced and connected NetSuite ERP to Bill.com and Expensify and that gave us great use of our ERP.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Concolidations
  • Having somehow a direct connection with CRM
  • Better Planning Tools
  • FP&A
NetSuite ERP is better suited with SaaS and technology companies. NetSuite ERP ARM module is great and we have great visibility and calculations for our revenue recognition process. NetSuite ERP can handle complex and very complex issues and it is one of the best ERP systems ever. NetSuite ERP has great consolidations tool as well.

In my role as a CFO, I approve invoices, so I get a notification in my inbox, click on it and it takes me to NetSuite. It's part of the one login and just review the invoices and approve them before being paid.
  • Revenue recognition. We get information from Salesforce and we build the revenue recognition engine that I'm really pleased. We avoid a lot of manual work by doing this.
  • We send out invoices electronically from the system. We use it for the fixed asset now with the new lease opinion that we just adopted in January 2022. We leveraged technology, specifically the features in NetSuite to help us account for that.
  • Reports. I wasn't happy with the reporting. I don't think we're there yet. I understand better now the safe search functionality, but still when it comes to doing the monthly financial package, I rely on a different product.
  • I think they could be hard to use based on roles and permissions. I learned if you don't set those up the right way, you don't get visibility into the NetSuite data, and could be challenging.
  • I just watched the other data bill capture, and I was surprised to see that they only allow five pages for invoices. So I really want more than five pages. I want it unlimited.
Really in this hybrid environment, being up in the cloud and being able to securely access the data and work from anywhere, I think it's a real game changer for my team. So I really like the fact that NetSuite keeps up with security features and allows users to access it from anywhere.

We're using it to help us improve all of our accounting processes, to streamline our system so it's something that's scalable and will grow with our business as we grow. We're using it to deal with all of our day-to-day accounting needs to help us with our inventory processes, our routing, our work in progress, tracking, costing, and going to help us track customers, sales. Those are the main things that we're using it for. The biggest thing that we looked for was simplicity of use, that we could get people on board and using it more effectively. We come from another ERP solution, which was a total disaster for us. It wasn't implemented well, didn't suit our needs, we couldn't get anyone trained up to be proficient in it in any reasonable timeframe. So we needed something that we could bring people in, get knowledgeable, get proficient on a reasonable basis, and NetSuite's able to do that for us. So that was our biggest thing, but then also to be able to grow with us as we start, as we're coming from an R&D company moving into manufacturing, we're going to be over three continents, sales in the millions and tens of millions of dollars. We needed a solution that was going to be able to grow with us, and so that's what NetSuite is for us, it's that solution that's going to be able to take us from zero and run with us right up to being a billion-dollar company.
  • The big piece is it gives us a lot of the KPI indicators. When you land on the dashboard and right away you're able to identify, you'll create key information. I'm not having to dive into layers and layers of reports to get what I need. I can set it up and configure it, and then every time I log in I see it there. So that's probably one big thing.
  • The other thing is it brings together all these different pieces together into one ecosystem. I'm not having to get 20 different integrations to make it functional. It works just on its own. And then if I do need to, there are partners that work really well with integrations, so if there is something that works well, I can bring it in, but I don't have to at the same point in time. So those are a couple of big things that are really helpful.
  • I think some of it is in terms of some of the reporting, some of the reporting is really great out of the box. Some of the save search features require a bit more work to get set up, configured, and operating. It'd be nice if there were a few more prebuilt ones that would be really helpful there in some different industry segments. So that would just help to make things a bit easier. The fact that it's there and I can configure it to get information is great, but I still have to have someone who feels comfortable setting all those up and that can take some time.
Our context is manufacturing and for us, managing our inventory is really important. That's probably one of our biggest business challenges. So any business that's having to look at that, it's a great fit for startup companies that don't need a massive solution at early stages. It's really great because you can scale, you're not having to worry about redesign. So those are a couple of really good use cases. I haven't really encountered anything where I'd say it's not a great fit yet, so I don't really have an answer for that one.

Netsuite ERP supports the execution of customer projects, from timesheets and expenses, to customer billing. We also use the tickets system for support projects through the customer portal. For project revenue management we are using Advance Revenue Management module. For fixed assets management we are also using the Fixed Assets module. To be compliant with Portugal requiremts we use the localization from Netsuite ERP and the one from RSM.
  • Project billing
  • Assets depreciation
  • Revenue Managment
  • Fixed Assets module
The best ERP for medium size enterprises with multinational subsidiaries.

We use NetSuite ERP to provide our main set of financials, and handle all our GL activities. We currently are doing our AP/AR via Concur and CMS, and have integrations between them to NetSuite ERP. We are looking to consolidate all our Accounting needs within NetSuite ERP by implementing the AP and AR modules. We really like the One World, because of its capability to manage our heavy multi currency multi subsidiary organization.
  • They provide a lot of options in terms of tailoring to the needs of our organization.
  • Suite Answers is really helpful whenever you are stuck.
  • I enjoy working with the many different vendors and partners you have.
  • It would be really helpful when asking for featuresm that they are implemented.
  • If you could actually provide the same level of service through out your organization, as there are mixed reviews on that
  • Provide more manuals for tips and tricks.
I believe NetSuite ERP is great for organizations that are large scale in terms of revenue and need out of the box solutions. In terms of actually using it for small mom and pop shops, in my opinion, I could not see how NetSuite ERP would be really helpful for a company that wants to remain as a mom and pop shop.

We use NetSuite ERP for Accounting and Finance team. We use Salesforce to close all the opportunities but with the help of Celigo integration create customers, contact and Sales Order and line items in NetSuite. Post that generate invoices, perform Revenue Recognition. We use Suite Analytics, Integrations, Financial Closing, Vendor Onboarding, Project Creation, Billing.
  • Customer Creation
  • Sales Order, Invoicing
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Project management
  • Billing
  • APIs to connect with other data ware houses
  • Outbound integrations
  1. NetSuite ERP well suited for us for maintaining customer, their contacts, shipping and billing addresses, Sales order creation with multi line items, invoicing, billing, credit memo, deposits, revenue recognition, chart of accounts, general ledger, project creation and management. Projects billing. Sometime we found outbound integrations are not robust. Also, need to go for separate connectors if you have to connect with third part datawarehouse.

We also use it for Customer and Vendor management. We also use NetSuite ERP analytics to query data, sync with our data warehouse and build custom integrations. We also build workflows and scripts to help us in our transaction processing.

I work for a mid level company, and it has scaled well with us as we have grown. They have great solutions and modules to accommodate many of our complex processes. The ability to write SuiteScrip, workflows and leverage their robust API has allowed us to need the specific needs of our business. There are some modules like the CRM or HR side that does not meet our needs and we have to look to a system that has been built specifically for that purpose, but on the financial side, I would not want to use anything else.

We use NetSuite ERP for our financial reports, fixed asset management, revenue recognition and most things accounting either directly or as the system of record for peripheral systems. It is also a key component in data integrations to and from our other systems (crm, hris, commission tool, etc).
  • Reporting
  • Saved searches and reports for analysis
  • Open API to facilitate integrations
  • Vast partner network with near native feel and functionality
  • Fixed asset module has too many quirks
  • Support at times (acs) was lacking

We use NetSuite sale orders for bookings which are integrated from sales force. We use sales orders to generate invoicing records and collections. We use NetSuite ARM for Rev Rec allocations. In addition to Open Air for our Professional services organization to bill T&M consulting hours and recognize revenue. We use NetSuite for GL and consolidations. The Product was chosen as it was flexible during the time of company IPO in 2011. We have evolved it over time as we needed a system that can handle 606 Revenue allocations in 2017. Scope of the use cases is Order to cash and record to report workstreams on training, consulting services, support and licenses. I work in NetSuite on a day to day basis to review and approve orders, generate financial reports for Income and balance sheet, generate reports for revenue waterfalls, deferred revenue, GL postings, Journal reviews, Create save searches, create reports. NetSuite has been a great system for our company, we have some complications around Deferred Revenue postings at month end related to new updates which we hope to be solved for in future updates as currently we have to delete automated entrys NetSuite posts to our systems due to a recent update.
  • Save Searches are still awesome
  • Revenue SSP Allocations
  • Easy to use compared to oracle and sap
  • UI has not changed for years where as competitors have updated UI to be more modenernized
  • cash applications not alot of automation in the collections process
  • re-occuring monthly billings is difficult as it requires setting up schedules manually
  • some of our save searches for revenue waterfalls are getting to big and have slow run times. not sure if there is a way to improve performances but 24month waterfalls take a long time to generate as business grows and number of lines increase
  • reporting of backlog is not easy as data is not easily merried to data in NetSuite for ARR reporting
NetSuite is great for new companies starting out, its easy to learn and use, Users can build and customize there own reports easily. I think it would be cool if chat gpt can build my save searches for me as its difficult to remember the formulas in the searches overtime, unless that is your only role.

Implement for multiple industries. Problems with variant pricing. Custom-build the solution. The NetSuite does not also support real-time purchase tracking or entitlement. So we hired custom partners as integrators to give a real-time integration to the purchasing data. That brings the item procurement to real-time tracking.
  • Customer Sales processing.
  • Electronics payment.
  • Revenue Recognition.
  • Expense management.
  • Supplier collaborations.
  • Vendor Payments.
  • Variant configuration.
Well: sales order processing, customer master, Item records, pick, pack, ship, capturing detail line item data, invoicing, revenue management, customer billing and payment processing, purchase order creation and processing, vendor payment processing, revenue recognition not well: pricing and variant configuration, usage related billing, complex pricing, demand planning, and real-time integration.

Netsuite is well suited for cash management and revenue recognition; however, it has a big learning curve. It is not the most user-friendly system. I have used Salesforce CRM for years, and it makes so much more sense. NetSuite has a big learning curve.

NS is our core business system. We use it for all our finance and accounting day-to-day. The most important module we use is ARM. ARM helped us to properly allocate revenue, recognize different schedules, and reclass.
  • Roles and permissions.
  • Order to cash.
  • ARM
  • Project management.
  • Employee management.
I found NS is very good at handling procurement and order to cash process. Project and resource planning is also good, but a little bit complicated for customers who are new to the system. The learning curve is a bit long.

We use NetSuite EPR to manage the GL record revenue and for Ecommerce among other things. NetSuite EPR has helped us streamline our monthly close functions as well as provides us with ample ability to customize our instance to meet the specific needs of our business. We have also use the expense module to help us streamline our expense/reimbursement process with the correct approvals to get them out in a timely manner.
  • Fixed asset depreciation is a smooth process
  • the ability to upload transactions in bulk via csv
  • The ability to connect to the jdbc driver and build complex queries that aren't available in a single saved search.
  • Saved searches while robust, I've found sometimes don't include all fields, and some tables can't be joined in
  • I'v found with deleted transactions it doesn't hold the gl impact data
  • I've found certain permissions aren't available for view only
NetSuite EPR excels as a corporate GL. It also does AP and AR well, and connects to 3rd parties well. I have not used every module but I think there is room for improvement on the expense side we have ran into issues with multiple card feeds and itemization. Overall NetSuite EPR is a great tool.

NetSuite ERP is our daily-use software - we use it for everything. Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Revenue Recognition, financial reporting. NetSuite ERP allows us to manage our inventory across multiple locations, enter sales and keep track of customer data in a secure and one-stop platform. All of our payables and purchases are handled through NetSuite ERP - demand planning, forecasting, and merchandising are all run through the system. We have about 250 users and run north of $300mm in yearly revenue. We handle revenue recognition with real-time billing updates, automated emailing of invoices to customers, and have also integrated NetSuite ERP with our e-commerce platform to allow for seamless order updates and management. Our showrooms utilize NetSuite POS software to enter sales, update orders, receive payments, and fulfill customer pickups. Our warehouse and fulfillment teams use a host of features within the software to track inbound and outbound shipments, conduct physical inventory cycle counts, and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • General Ledger reporting
  • Sales Order entry and maintenance
  • Customization of forms/dashboards
  • Searches and reports for all different types of data
  • Integrate with other software systems - AR, AP, banking, WMS, logistics
  • Support is expensive
  • There aren't a lot of options for third-party financing in a retail space
  • the CRM module could be more robust.
While not technically suited for a retail operation out of the box, it is possible to customize the system to work for retail. Additionally, we had to tailor the system to meet our needs as a white-goods retailer; in our industry it's not very common to stick product on a FedEx or UPS truck and send it out, but rather the goods are white-glove type deliveries with specialized skills needed for install. We had to customize the platform accordingly to account for these variances. Additionally, NetSuite ERP gave us the flexibility to "control the narrative" - we are able to set custom pricing and costing measures by item or by sales rep, we implemented a robust clearance item process, and we've integrated our pricing module with an e-tag solution at all of our stores. While the system may not be the best for retail without customization, it's the ability to mold the platform to fit your needs that really is its strong suit.

We use NetSuite EPR for our Accounting and Financial processes. We use it to process orders and invoice our customers, generate revenue arrangements, and recognize revenue. We also use it for our fixed asset management, Procurement and AP functions. We are using it to feed actual information to our budgeting and planning tool as well.
  • Simplifies Accounting processes
  • Excellent UI
  • Flexibility to add custom objects
  • Edge processes outside of core accounting functions are lacking
  • Complex approval routing
  • complex order processes
NetSuite ERP in general is very well suited for many business in the mid-to-large market and I would recommend it for accounting and financial processes. It does great for Procure-to-pay, fixed asset, and revenue recognition. I also appreciate the audit trail that NetSuite ERP provides, allowing you to see everything that happens in the system.

Netsuite ERP allowed us to gain a better workflow & view between opportunities and invoicing. Currently use NetSuite: FAM, Opp to Invoicing, advanced projects & NSPB
  • Quote --> Invoicing
  • Items (services)
  • Customizations
  • automations (built-in) not a separate module
  • FAM
  • Revenue Reconigiton
  • The number of rates we can associate service level, with individual customers.
NetSuite ERP is well suited for specific financial tasks such as classifications, multi book accounting, revenue recognition, project management. In my opinion, NetSuite ERP has limitations, such as the number of rates we can have per customer. We had to look for a secondary service provider to handle this. NetSuite ERP has lots of "native" options available, but usually requires the purchase of additional software as well as a separate cost of hiring consultants for the implementation.

We use NetSuite for all things Financial -- close, reconciliation, AP, AR, order to cash, procure to pay, revenue recognition, reporting, forecasting. We currently use Great Plains which is not cloud based and is a cluster of manual processes that take over 200 finance team members to complete on a monthly basis.
  • Analytics
  • Approval workflows
  • Seamless order to cash
  • SuiteScript support
  • Unexpected Error support
  • Naming conventions and consistency
I can see NetSuite being especially powerful for businesses in the growth stage, because of its automation power. It is also useful for enterprise level corporations however with any system, as the data grows the complications do as well, due to the customizations involved. My experience with NetSuite support is that they are less enthusiastic about helping customers with custom scripts or workflows.

My firm implements full NetSuite services, does ongoing consulting, and NetSuite BPO deployments. I work as an outsourced financial controller for multiple clients who have upgraded their accounting data using NetSuite. This has allowed them to have better reporting and better access and use of their data, utilizing software connected to NetSuite and reports native in NetSuite itself.
  • Data Organization
  • Financial Period Management
  • Custom Reporting
  • Integration with other software
  • Native fixed asset module
  • Bank and credit card matching
If a company has jumped from under a million in revenue to $3M (as an example) in a year, then I see them as a prime candidate. NetSuite will allow you to have better access to your data as you grow, and implementing at that size will be easier and better for the company in the future than waiting until they are $25M or more. Additionally, if the company leadership is financially minded then they will like the custom reporting much more than other ERPs.
